I do not alter the VMD's of the units directly so things like Kaziels reskin or another reskin should still work.ĪTTENTION: This mod does NOT cover the new DLC objects. The Romans are currently a WIP and can be overwritten by other reskins. Most armors, helmets, and weapons were edited so that they would appear closer to CA's more recent game aesthetics with more realistic metal textures and reflectiveness. CA had a surprisingly high amount of HD textures that were never used or hidden within the files. Many of the textures were found by digging through the CA files and repurposing some of them for the vanilla models. Some of the worse textures had to be manually edited and redone. Most of the textures were enhanced automatically through several photoshop techniques. This is meant for newer to higher end PCs.
Performance may drop for older PCs with this mod and set up. Combined, these mods create the Rome II HD Project and hopefully make Rome II look like a truly brand new game. This mod is meant to be used alongside my other mods such as Flora HD, Terrain HD, and Ocean HD and Attila Environments HD. This release is intended to provide me with as much feedback as possible so I can make updates and enhance this to allow Rome II to look the best it can. I decided to release this mod alongside the new patch and DLC so that Rome II may get even more life breathed into its bones. This mod contains 1k - 2k and some necessary 4k textures to pull the most detail out of Rome II's models and resources. Rome II HD strives to enhance all of the entity textures in the game and truly bring Rome II to the next level of graphical fidelity.
